New City College acquires third English language school: Concorde International, Canterbury

New City College, one of the largest and most successful further education colleges in England, has been establishing a reputation for its high quality English language schools since 2016.

Its third British Council accredited English language school, Concorde International in Canterbury, has now joined Westbourne Academy, Bournemouth and the Oxford School of English under the NCC International banner.

Concorde International’s outgoing principal, Colin Stone, leaves the school after 53 happy years and said: “It has been such a pleasure to have welcomed so many students from all parts of the world, and to have been part of the amazing EFL community.”

Richard Surtees, Group Executive Director of curriculum development and language schools at New City College said: “Concorde International has a successful history and much excellent practice to share.

“With three English language schools across the south of England, together with the English teaching expertise at our college campuses, I’m immensely proud of New City College’s strengthening position as a leader in this specialist area.”
