Student success on results day 2024!

New City College is incredibly proud of all its students who celebrated amazing A Level and Level 3 vocational results on Results Day 2024.

The college announced a huge increase in the top A Level grades of A*-B and 100% pass rates in many Level 3 subjects.

In BTEC results there was a 94% pass rate and a total of 1,483 entries across NCC, with some results still pending.

An impressive 69 students achieved at least two Distinction* in Level 3 BTEC subjects, including Applied Science, Business, Health & Social Care, Sport, Media and the Arts.

Progressing to study Mechanical Engineering with Business Finance at UCL

"The college created a very encouraging environment for me, unlike any I've experienced so far in my life. I was able to foster friendships, indulge in my passions and thrive in my academics thanks to the supportive staff and available facilities. Moving from Bangladesh to the UK in 2021, meant I have had to face various social and academic struggles. I worked full time as a pasta chef for 8 months before I could complete my GCSEs and re-enter education in 2022. After starting my A Levels, I worked part time as a tutor to contribute to my family's finances.

"New City College has given me the support and the environment to fulfill my potential, and get a great head start into my future career. I was previously home educated but from the age of 14 I enrolled onto the Level 2 BTEC Engineering course at Ardleigh Green campus, alongside my Maths and English GCSEs. After achieving high grades, I went on to study the Level 3 BTEC in Engineering at NCC Rainham campus. This introduced me to the world of coding, and after finishing the course with Triple Distinction* and a passion for programming, I enrolled onto the Level 3 BTEC in Information Technology at the sixth form, which I really enjoyed."
