Congratulations to Havering Sixth Form student Ben Seear who was presented with the annual Chemistry Award for achieving the top mark out of the whole year group in the end-of-first-year exams.
Ben was praised by Julie Warner, Group Curriculum Director for A Levels, pictured above with Ben, for showing resilience and dedication. She said: “Ben really deserves this award. The extremely high grade he achieved in this end-of-year assessment was testament to the hard work he has put in to his studies throughout the year.”
Ben’s Chemistry tutors have said he is a superb chemist who thinks through complex problems with ease and works safely and methodically during practical work. One said: “Ben asks thought-provoking questions which both further his own understanding and contribute to the learning of others in the class.”
As well as Chemistry, Ben, a former Brittons School student, is also studying A Levels in Accounting and Geography.
Well done Ben. Keep up the good work!
