Start your creative journey with hands-on projects in a supportive studio environment.

If you're imaginative, hands-on, and love exploring creative ideas, this course is your chance to experiment across art and design. You’ll explore areas like drawing, painting, 3D work, textiles, and basic graphic design, using both traditional techniques and digital tools.

This one-year course is designed to help you build the practical and creative skills needed to progress onto a Level 3 Art & Design course. It’s ideal if you’re still developing your
portfolio or if you didn’t quite meet the entry requirements for Level 3. You’ll usually study this course alongside GCSE English and/or Maths, helping you prepare for your next step academically and creatively.

You’ll learn in well-equipped studio spaces including specialist studios, printmaking and digital Mac suites. Our expert tutors—who all have real industry experience—will support you in developing your confidence, creativity, and a portfolio that
showcases your work.
