Childcare and Education (Level 3 NCFE CACHE Diploma)

Course Overview

Entry requirements

Five or more GCSEs at Grades 9 - 4 including:

  • Average GCSE point score of 3.5 or above
  • GCSE English Language and maths at Grade 4
  • GCSE English Language and maths at Grade 4
  • Progression from Level 2 with Merit or Distinction, or equivalent
  • Aptitude tests may be required in certain subjects such as catering, sport and hairdressing

Course information

You will gain valuable experience as a trainee childcare worker, building up practical skills and gaining confidence when working with children. You will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS check. You will also fulfill 750 hours on placement and complete two controlled assessments. To gain this you will be required to gain experience in 3 age groups.
