Three or more GCSEs at Grade 2 including:

  • GCSE English Language and maths at Grade 2 (or equivalent)
  • Successful completion of Entry 3, and appropriate recommendation report

Course information

This entry-level course is the perfect starting point if you're interested in the creative and digital industries but aren’t sure which path to take yet. Through a range of fun and practical assignments, you’ll explore key skills in areas like Art, Media and IT, while building the confidence and knowledge needed to take your next step.

You’ll work on exciting, real-world themed projects such as:

  • Digital media
  • Creating a website
  • Producing an interactive presentation
  • Solving problems with spreadsheets
  • Researching and presenting your own business idea
  • Communicating effectively using digital tools
  • Working as part of a creative team
  • Developing your personal progression plan

Alongside gaining technical skills, you’ll also develop vital transferrable skills like teamwork, organisation, communication and planning—all essential in any career.

This is a one-year course studied alongside English and Maths, and is assessed through a portfolio of project-based work, with grades awarded at Pass, Merit, or Distinction.
