Explore performance from centre stage to backstage in this exciting, practical course designed for creative progression.

This one-year course is the ideal introduction to performing arts and is perfect for students who want to build confidence, explore a range of performance and production roles, and prepare for progression to a Level 3 Performing Arts qualification. It’s usually studied alongside GCSE English and/or Maths and will help you strengthen both your creative and academic skills.

You’ll experience the full range of performance styles—including acting, dance, physical theatre and movement—as well as backstage and technical theatre roles. You’ll take part in exciting live
performances and develop practical skills in rehearsal, production and creative interpretation, working in purpose-built rehearsal studios.

As part of our Performing Arts Academy, you’ll unlock exclusive access to workshops,
masterclasses and performance opportunities in partnership with the Queen’s Theatre, giving you real-world experience and professional insight.
