Course information:

The aim of this course is to develop beauty therapy knowledge, understanding and skills so that you can progress to work effectively as a competent junior therapist. You will study a range of topics and will have the flexibility to focus on developing skills in the areas in which you are most interested.

Entry requirements

GCSE English and Maths grade 3 and two further GCSEs at grade 3, and/or completion of Level 1 Beauty Therapy or other relevant subject. A good school reference, including attendance and punctuality, and a successful interview with course staff is also required. You will have English and Maths skills assessments.

What Can This Course Lead To

Successful students can progress to career opportunities in a variety of contexts as a junior beauty therapist, including working in commercial beauty salons, working in a retail concession in a department store or working independently as a self-employed therapist, a mobile therapist or a home-based therapist.

You may also progress to futher study including a Level 2 Diploma, or Level 3 qualification in a range of courses including Beauty Therapy, Make-Up Artistry or Theatrical, Special Effects and Hair and Media Make-Up.
