This professional teaching qualification is ideal for aspiring educators aiming to work in the post-16 further education and skills sector. It develops essential knowledge of teaching, curriculum design, and learner engagement.
You'll explore how students learn, understand your role as an educator, and apply your skills through a teaching practice placement. During your placement, you'll receive dedicated support from a subject specialist, pastoral mentor, and the course team.
Aligned with the Department for Education’s framework for FE teaching qualifications, this course prepares you for a rewarding career in education.
All learning outcomes have to be successfully addressed in the assessment process. All of our teaching staff are experienced professionals in the field of education. All students are allocated a personal tutor who will be your first point of communication should you have any queries or concerns. Regular 1:1 sessions will take place within the classroom where there will be the opportunity to discuss your course and progress.
You will also be supported by a mentor within your placement who will work alongside your tutor and classroom observer.
You will be assessed via arrange of methods including coursework, presentations, observations of practice. You will be required to complete minimum of 250 placement hours, of which at least 150 hours will be teaching practice
