Entry requirements

Experience in the construction industry is an advantage


This course is aimed at students who are 16+ and for candidates who want to work as plumbers in the building services engineering sector.

Study Pattern: The Part Time (evenings) Electrical Installations Level 2 course takes place on 2 evenings a week during term time, typically, one evening will be practical and one evening theory. (At this time these evenings are expected to be Tuesday and Wednesday from 6pm – 9pm)

Attendance will need to be at least 90%, to qualify. In addition all learners will be required to undertake at least 3 hours independent, home study a week

Further Information

Following this course you have a number of options: It allows candidates to progress into employment, though not as a fully qualified plumber, or to the following City and Guilds qualifications:

  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
  • Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing Studies

Plumbing Careers: Plumbers are employed in the installation of new plumbing components or the maintenance and repair of existing plumbing infrastructures.
