Entry requirements

No formal entry requirements, though an interest in the security industry and understanding of basic security and health and safety practices is helpful. You must be legally allowed to work in the UK and have a good standard of English, maths and IT.

Course information

  • This is a short six weeks, full-time intensive course which runs Monday - Friday.
  • Following completion of this course you will be guaranteed a job interview.
This level 2 Award in Door Supervision has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA). It is based on the relevant SIA specifications for learning and qualifications and provides the necessary training, skills and knowledge for you to apply for an SIA licence and work as a door supervisor within the private security industry. You must attend all the days to be eligible for this course and free SIA licence.

What Can This Course Lead To

On successful completion, you’ll be offered a job interview and gain a recognised qualification to boost your career prospects, with pathways into advanced training or roles such as CCTV Operator. You’ll also receive free Door Supervision and Security Guarding training, an SIA licence (usually £220) provided free of charge, and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) training.
