This study programme requires a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grades 2 or above, including English and Maths.

Course information

The Construction Skills: Electrical Level 1 Extended Certificate course is a practical, entry-level course for beginners and school leavers entering the trade.

This introductory qualification builds foundational workshop safety confidence, hand tool mastery, and essential craft skills. Students learn to cut and install plastic conduit, fit trunking, and wire simple domestic lighting and power circuits. 

This course is the perfect stepping stone to build technical confidence before progressing directly onto a full Level 2 Electrical Diploma or securing a trade apprenticeship.
