New term off to a cracking start with campus Freshers’ Fairs

New City College students enjoyed lively and informative Freshers’ Fairs to begin the start of the new term with the theme Because College Life is What You Make It!

The fairs were a great start to their college journey and enabled students to sign up to clubs, societies and a whole host of enrichment activities.

They enjoyed meeting new people and taking part in fun activities such as tote bag printing, badge making, cake decorating and competitions.

They also had the chance to meet the tutorial and enrichment team and find out about all the student support and other opportunities available at New City College.

One student said: “It was great to find out about the clubs and other extra-curricular things going on. I didn’t realise there was so much on offer here.”

A range of stalls were set up at each campus with some external support organisations also attending.

Emma Wood, Group Head of Tutorial and Enrichment, said: “The fairs were all extremely busy and well received with an eclectic mix of stalls aimed at supporting our students and enriching their experience with us.

“The activities that are offered as part of the Enrichment Programme help to develop students’ skills, confidence and well-being. Thanks to everyone who helped make the fairs a success.”
