“I progressed from the Foundation pathway to Supported Internship program at the college. Joining the Supported internship was very challenging but my tutors were always on hand to provide support and guidance. This made it a rather smooth transition than I had imagined.

On the programme, I have managed to develop great communication skills, team working skills and a positive attitude towards work. I am more determined to learn and always excited to attend my lessons. The teachers are very encouraging and the programme gives you exposure to areas that you may never have considered before. On the programme, I secured a placement opportunity to work at Shoe zone where I was able to apply the skills learnt at college. The team were proud of my contribution and willingness to learn new things.

I have currently secured paid employment at Shoe Zone which I am thoroughly enjoying. At New City College, I believe you are given the opportunity to grow as an Individual”.
