Katie Peart is continuing her amazing success with New City College as part of the Tottenham Hotspur Football Development Centre – and her hard work has now been rewarded with a position at the club as a Junior Development Coach.
A Centre Midfield player, Katie, 21, has been part of the Sport programme for five years at New City College, having started on the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport at Redbridge campus – and passing with a grade of Distinction, Distinction, Merit.
She then progressed to the Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Sport and Exercise Science with the Tottenham Hotspur Coaching Development Programme (HNC) and is now completing the second year Higher National Diploma (HND) at Level 5 at Ardleigh Green campus.
Katie said: “I have been part of the Education and Football Development Centre for five years – starting as a 16-year-old player! Now I am enrolled on the Level 5 Coaching Science qualification and it’s brilliant.
“I have learnt so much and had so many opportunities in my time with New City College. To successfully come through the coaching excellence centre and be chosen to work for Tottenham Hotspur FC, employed as a Junior Development Coach, is a dream come true.
“I am loving the role and the fact that I am able to fit it around my studies.”
