I decided to study at this college because of the high pass rates here. I enjoy the college atmosphere and it’s really convenient for me as I live 15 minutes away. I was at university last year studying Psychology but the course wasn’t right for me and I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in physical education instead. I didn’t have any previous qualifications in sports or science so I decided to enrol on the Access to Higher Education course and took the science pathway. The units I have covered so far this year will give me a head start in my degree. Biology isn’t really my strong point, however, I have a very outgoing teacher who is always willing to lend a hand. She helps every individual in the class and tells them what they need to work on and offers one-to-one sessions if we don’t understand. After this course I want to go to university and study Physical Education or Sports Science. I would recommend the Access course to adults but you have to be aware that it is a lot of work and needs 100% determination.”
