Our short courses and training for jobs will ensure your staff are suitably qualified, motivated and ready to tackle the challenges of operating a successful business.

Training can be delivered to individuals or groups in the classroom, through an online / blended classroom model or via distance learning. We can also offer a bespoke service to employers based at their own premises.

  • Adult Social Care

    NCFE CACHE Preparing to Work in Health and Social Care Levels 1 & 2

    The need for adult social care continues to rise at a time when the system supporting that care is significantly changing. Adult care workers need up-to-date training and guidance to enable them to provide good person-centered care.

  • Bookkeeping

    Level 1 Access Award

    With this qualification, there’s no need for any prior accounting knowledge. This course introduces you to the role of a bookkeeper and simple bookkeeping techniques.

  • Chef Skills & Hospitality

    Level 1 Award

    This is an introductory course and covers training for job roles in the hospitality sector. It will help you to gain work in a wide range of positions within restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and schools. It will also help you enter the catering industry.

  • Civil Services

    Level 2 Certificate

    This course is intended to prepare applicants for job roles in the Civil Service. This two-week programme takes candidates through the process step by step; at each stage explaining the rationale and requirements of each component.

    City & Guilds Level 1

    Are you 19+ and want an introduction to potential careers in the construction industry? This course will help you learn about various trades, gain practical experience and see what the industry has to offer.

  • Door Supervision & Security Guarding

    SIA Door Supervision & Security Level 2

    Under the Private Security Industry Authority Act 2001, all individuals wishing to work in the private security industry must undertake a recognised qualification before applying for a license.

  • Education & Training

    Level 3 Award

    For new/existing entrants to the Learning and Skills Sector (post 14).

  • Employability Skills

    NCFE Entry Level 3 to Level 2 Cert/Award

    Learning key skills for the working environment is vital for improving confidence and communication skills to prepare for employment or a change in employment. This course will teach you the skills that are necessary for any working environment.

  • Facilities Services

    City & Guilds Levels 1 & 2

    This course covers the knowledge needed to work in the Facilities Sector. This may include work within hospitals, offices, schools, or hotels. You could be employed as a porter, caretaker, or maintenance staff. It will help you to develop your employability.

  • Fitness Instruction

    YMCA Level 2 Certificate

    This qualification will enable you to become a fully qualified gym instructor. You will gain a detailed understanding of the human body and physical exercise. A flexible home learning approach with weekend practical elements undertaken in college.

  • Fitness & Physical Activity

    YMCA Level 1 Award

    This qualification will enable you to take your first step towards a career in the leisure industry. It includes an introduction to the role of a fitness instructor, along with a basic knowledge of what happens to the human body during physical exercise and exertion.

  • Housing Practice

    CIH Level 2 Certificate

    CIH is the independent voice for housing and the home of professional standards. Our qualifications are informed by our engagement at all levels of the industry and the expert knowledge of our policy and practice teams.

  • IT & Digital Skills

    City & Guilds/Pearson Provision: All Levels

    Suitable for those who want to develop their use of ICT to become competent users of Microsoft Office. For anyone who has a basic level of IT skills and wants to gain more insight into the uses of computers in the workplace.

  • Practical Cleaning Skills CG

    City & Guilds Entry Level 3 & Level 1

    This course is designed for people wishing to enter the industry who do not have a relevant qualification; or who are directly engaged within the sector. This includes facilities management, cleaning, hospitality, and catering.

  • Railway Engineering

    City & Guilds Level 2

    The purpose of the course is to provide an employment pathway into the railway sector. You will gain a combination of health and safety skills and railway certification that can lead to a variety of employment opportunities.
