Course information

If you are looking for a career in an office environment, then this course will give you a thorough grounding in administrative, secretarial and personnal assistant (PA) skills. This course is suitable for anyone with a strong interest in business administration, who wants to develop a career as a personal assistant or general office administrator. 

The course covers a number of subjects including business communications, office procedures and e-document production.  In addition to this you will have the opportunity to develop your word processing and IT skills. Then to put everything you have studied into practice, you will undertake 1 week of work experience as part of the course.

    The core business administration units are assessed through a series of externally set coursework assignments. The text production and word processing modules are assessed through examinations.

What Can This Course Lead To

You can progress to the OCR Diploma Level 3 or progress into employment. You will have gained secretarial skills which can lead to employment in an office environment as a junior PA or a junior administrative assistant.The skills you will develop will hold you in good stead no matter what career you decide to follow.
