Creative Media (BTEC Level 2 Diploma)

Your first step into the fast-moving world of film, photography and digital content creation.

This exciting one-year course is the perfect foundation for progression to a Level 3 Creative Media course. It’s designed to build your confidence, creativity and technical skills, especially if you’re still working on your portfolio or developing your academic profile. You’ll usually study this course alongside GCSE English and/or Maths to support your broader progression goals.

If you’re curious about media—from filmmaking and photography to digital design and content creation—this hands-on course gives you a taste of what it’s like to work in the creative industries. You’ll explore camera work, editing, lighting, sound, graphics, and production planning, all while working on fun, practical projects that simulate real-world media briefs.

You’ll learn in our fully equipped studio and edit suites, including Apple Mac with Adobe Creative Cloud, camera and lighting kits, and sound recording gear.
