This study programme requires GCSE Grade 3 or above in English, Mathematics and Science, or successful completion of an assessment at Arbour Square Campus

Course information

The one year GCSE Study Programme is designed for students who have achieved Grade 3s at GCSE and wish to improve their results, as well as those who have not yet gained Level 2 qualifications.

This programme provides an opportunity to retake GCSEs in English, Mathematics and Science, helping students strengthen their qualifications and progress to further study or employment. Students will also have the opportunity to study GCSE Sociology, allowing them to work towards achieving up to five GCSE qualifications, subject to assessment and entry criteria.

Students will study Combined Science, covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and will be expected to undertake practical laboratory work as part of their studies.

Applicants may be required to complete entry assessment. The programme includes:

  • GCSE Double Award Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
  • GCSE English
  • GCSE Mathematics
  • GCSE Sociology (subject to assessment and eligibility)
