This Adult Skills course provides a strong introduction to core electrical principles and is ideal for learners preparing to progress into accredited vocational training. You’ll develop essential DIY and electrical knowledge, gaining a foundational understanding of domestic lighting systems, ring circuits, and how these components function within the home.

Through practical, confidence-building tasks, such as safely replacing a fuse, you’ll strengthen your hands-on skills while improving your understanding of how to work safely and effectively with basic electrical components. This introductory course lays the groundwork for further study, supporting your progression towards formal qualifications in electrical installation or related technical fields.
