Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to https://www.ncclondon.ac.uk.

This website is run by New City College. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliance(s) listed below:

  • some HubSpot forms do not show a clear keyboard focus indicator
  • some navigation dropdowns cannot be easily closed without moving focus or using the mouse
  • some content may become hidden or obscured at 400% zoom, including behind the cookie banner or basket
  • some buttons, banners and links need improved colour contrast
  • some accordion components require extra keyboard tabbing to move between sections
  • some video content within the careers pathway widget cannot currently be paused
  • some PDF documents need accessibility updates, including document language, tagging, headings and image alternative text

A full list of known accessibility issues and the WCAG criteria they fail is provided in the Non-accessible content section below.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We are currently delivering a programme of work to address all the issues listed above. Progress is reported to our internal digital team and (on request) to GOV.UK’s accessibility monitoring team. We expect substantial improvements to land during the current programme; the bullets above will be updated as each item is fixed.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 3 June 2026. It was last reviewed on 3 June 2026. It will be reviewed again by 5 June 2026, or sooner if material changes are made to the website.

This website was last tested on 12 March 2026. The test was carried out by the Government Digital Service as part of the public sector accessibility monitoring programme; we are also performing our own in-house testing as part of the current remediation programme.

This accessibility statement was prepared following our own accessibility testing and review of the website. Testing included manual checks, keyboard-only navigation, zoom and reflow checks, colour contrast reviews, and automated testing using axe DevTools. The findings from this testing have been used to identify accessibility issues and areas requiring improvement.
