  • Deputy Principal Talk - Events Room

    Come along to meet Katie Stafford, Deputy Principal of the Hackney Campus before you take a tour of the campus.

  • Apprenticeships - Canteen

    Get paid to learn with an apprenticeship — a real job offering training, experience, and salary. Open to anyone 16+, apprenticeships span industries and provide valuable skills, recognised qualifications, and opportunities with employers across the UK. Come and meet Mylene Slama, our leading expert. He’s there to guide you through any questions you may have.

  • Business - W002

    Studying business at New City College offers excellent opportunities. Close to London’s financial hubs, you’ll gain insights from mentors, work placements, and international business visits, preparing you for the UK’s thriving and diverse business sector. Mahnaz Asgari will be on hand to give information to anyone interested in studying business at NCC. There will be information for applicants, presentations and course workbooks.

  • Careers - LRC

    At New City College, preparing students for their future is a priority. Our qualified career advisers provide tailored support with course selection, career planning, employability skills, university applications, financial advice and exploring progression opportunities. Our Hackney careers advisor, Bich Tran, will be available for anyone who wants to discuss course options and career opportunities.

  • Bursary Support - LRC

    Our dedicated team provides personalized assistance with bursary applications, financial advice, and guidance on securing funding for your education. Our Hackney bursary assistant, Wahida Rahman, will be available for anyone who wishes to discuss available financial support and bursary options.

  • Computing & IT - W002

    New City College offers diverse computing courses, providing hands-on experience in programming, cybersecurity and IT systems. Learn from industry experts, access cutting-edge technology, and prepare for exciting careers or further studies in the fast-growing tech sector. Learn about Generative AI, Digital skills and Cyber Security.

  • Construction Crafts and Technical Skills - M101, M002 & T-Block

    We offer industry-experienced tutors, hands-on courses and pathways into apprenticeships or employment in building services in our state-of-the-art facilities. Join our knowledgeable tutors and engage in various activities including pipe bending and vehicle inspections.

  • Creative Industries - Events Room (Art show), M207 (tote bag screen printing), B202 (media).

    Creative Industries at Hackney offers comprehensive courses ranging from digital media to performing arts, all tailored to equip students with the tools for success in the fast-paced world of creative professions. Come and connect with Andrew Jordan, our Senior Curriculum Manager and explore the creative courses that suit you. You can have a go at screen printing tote bags, create your own character in Media and then finish the day off with a visit to our student art gallery show in our Events Room.

  • Early Years/ Health & Social Care - B102

    The UK’s health and social care sector is expanding rapidly, offering numerous rewarding careers. Our courses prepare students with mandatory work placements, enhancing employability through frontline experience and connections, including NHS talks and university visits, for roles in healthcare and social care. Meet with our expert Senior Curriculum Manager, Ilyas Mehter and take a look at our health surgery and nursery room(s) including our interactive set-up for the day.

  • English - Canteen

    English courses can improve your communication skills, helping you progress in work and everyday life. Reading, writing, speaking and listening are all skills needed by employers, so boosting yours could help you take the next step to a better job. All courses lead to a recognised certificate, whether it is an entry-level course, or a level 1 or 2 course (equivalent to GCSE). Hackney English Senior Curriculum Manager Glen Singleton will be on hand to offer information and guidance on the day.

     

  • ESOL - LRC Learning Zone

    English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) will help you get the essential skills needed for life and work in the UK, these courses are either free or part-funded. English courses can improve your communication skills, helping you progress in work and everyday life. Reading, writing, speaking and listening are all skills needed by employers, so boosting yours could help you take the next step to a better job. All courses lead to a recognised certificate and options for further progression. Senior Curriculum Manager Siobhan Markwell will be available on the day to answer any questions you may have.

  • Hospitality & Catering - OKN1

    Our courses offer hands-on learning from industry-experienced staff. Training includes opportunities to undertake paid work in our commercial restaurant, OKN1. Here you will work under experienced professional head chefs and prepare dishes for paying customers. Join us for a masterclass in mocktails and Sushi, and front reception tasters with tea and coffee. Head Chef, Abris Molnar, will be on hand to answer any questions.

     

  • Leisure, Recreation & Skills - Canteen

    Our leisure, recreation and wellbeing courses are a great opportunity for you to do something you love and improve your physical and mental wellbeing.
    Sessions are welcoming, inclusive and suitable for all skill levels. Courses usually run between 8 – 12 weeks. These courses are fun non-qualification courses, so there are no assessment, exam or entry requirements. Come and meet with Lutha Begum if you have any questions relating to our Leisure, Recreation & Skills courses.

  • Maths - Canteen

    We offer Functional Skills and GCSE maths courses throughout the week (daytime and evening options). Our maths courses help with confidence and can help to unlock potential for career progression. Senior Curriculum Manager, Samuel Winter will be on hand to offer guidance and ratio painting activities!

  • ALS - LRC Learning Zone

    Come along and meet our Additional Learning Support team who can provide you with information, advice and guidance about the support we provide at New City College. Speak with Anne-Marie Sapalska if you have any questions about ALS and the provisions we have available at New City College.

  • Sport - Student Gym

    Our campuses feature a variety of sports courses in collaboration with prestigious clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur and London Lions. These programs deliver professional coaching and competitive opportunities at top-tier venues like the Copper Box Arena, equipping students for careers in the sports and fitness industry. Visit us to learn more about our courses, participate in a fully equipped gym session, take a shot at our basketball hoop challenge and penalty shootout, and see if you can win!

     

  • SEND/ Foundation Learning - K002 (Student Snack Shop)

    At New City College, our Foundation Learning and SEND department offers a diverse and inclusive range of programs designed to support students with special needs in achieving their goals through holistic and innovative learning experiences. Our courses are carefully tailored to build independence, confidence, and communication skills, equipping students for adult life. We also offer specialised catering and café courses that develop employability skills in a real kitchen setting, covering cooking, front-of-house operations and customer service. Come and meet Amina Begum, our Senior Curriculum Manager for SEND and explore our brand-new student-run shop!

  • Teacher Education - Canteen

    Whether starting your teaching career, enhancing your skills or exploring the profession, we offer tailored pathways. Our expert tutors and flexible courses are ideal for anyone thinking of becoming a teacher. Come and meet lecturer Fay Apps, who will be on hand to answer all your questions.

  • Mini Immersive Room - LRC

    Experience how our immersive rooms transform lessons, using virtual reality to explore topics engagingly and interactively. From virtual field trips to hands-on learning, they enhance understanding, make education more dynamic and provide valuable experiences to prepare students for the working world and their next steps. Come and say ‘hi’ to Deputy Group Director, Steve Hedges, our expert in all things relating to Systems and Innovation!

  • New City Nursery - Nursery

    Discover the nurturing and supportive environment of the Nursery at New City College. Our Nursery provides high-quality childcare and early education, fostering children’s development in a safe and stimulating setting. Join us and explore our facilities and learn about the exceptional care and learning opportunities we offer. Led by our Group Nursery Manager, Carol Commins, the session will provide valuable insights into our approach to childcare and how we support families and young learners.

  • Application Hub - Reception

    Visit our Application Hub and meet our friendly Customer Services team. They will be on hand to guide you through the application process, whether you prefer to apply online using our computers or complete a paper application. We’re here to make signing up as simple and stress-free as possible.
