Easter celebrations at college nurseries

Children and toddlers at New City College nurseries, including the Stepping Stones Day Nursery situated within the grounds of our Ardleigh Green campus, put their arts and crafts skills to the test for Easter celebrations.

The youngsters glued feathers, cotton wool and tissue paper to create rabbits, chicks, flowers, trees and hats – with everything getting a sprinkle of colourful glitter!

There were also Easter egg hunts to prepare and take part in – filling large eggs with mini chocolate eggs, and then hiding them in the gardens.

At our Hackney campus the children baked Easter-themed goodies, made hats and took part in a parade around the college, cheered on by Early Years students and the Easter bunny! They then gathered on the grass for a photo (see pictures above and below).

The Stepping Stones Day Nursery, which opened in 1991, is in the grounds of our Ardleigh Green site. The nursery aims to provide the highest quality of care for the children while ensuring that their experience is fun-filled and educational, enabling them to develop to the best of their potential.

The nursery caters for children aged from 3 months to 5 years and is open to the general public as well as staff and students, between the hours of 7.45am to 6.15pm Monday to Friday.
