We are proud to celebrate the success of our Foundation Learning student Rosie Taylor who has gained employment through New City College’s Links Programme.
Rosie, who attends our SEND and Foundation Learning centre at Havering Sixth Form campus, is working in a permanent role at Cancer Research UK after impressing her managers during a work experience placement she undertook with the charity.
She says she is very pleased to have been offered the job, which involves sorting and tagging donations from members of the public as well as bagging items up to send to Cancer Research shops UK-wide.
New City College Facilitator and Job Coach, Julie Ettridge, said: “After Rosie did such an excellent job in her work placement, she was offered the position with the charity straight away. Her colleagues are very pleased with her and have said she is a well-liked member of the team who works really hard.
“I am so pleased for Rosie as she is benefiting greatly from the work and enjoys every aspect of it.”
