Get essential skills needed for everyday work and life.

English, maths and digital skills to help with everyday life

These courses will give you the essential understanding you need for work and everyday life.

If you’re aged 19 or over and do not have a GCSE in English or Maths at grade C or have little or no experience using computers and other digital devices, you can study an Essential Skills qualification for free.  Subjects include English, maths and IT and digital skills and range from Entry Level to GCSE level.

    Adults living in England who do not have a GCSE in English or Maths at grade C (equivalent to grade 4 or CSE grade 1), or have little to no experience using computers and other digital devices.

    Essential Skills qualifications and Multiply courses are free.

    ESOL courses may be free or part-funded depending on your level of income or employment status.
