Course overview
This qualification will provide the ideal introduction to the construction
industry. You will learn about the various career options and types of
jobs available in this sector whilst covering essential skills and support
to get into work.
Course content
• L1 Health & Safety in Construction Environment Award (required for
obtaining a CSCS card)
• CITB Operatives Health, Safety & Environment Test
(required for obtaining a CSCS card)
• The course also includes qualifications to support skills for work
• L1 Employability Extended Certificate or L1 Facilities Management
• Application for the CSCS Card upon successful completion of the
course

Delivery
Duration: 10 days, Monday to Friday, full-time
Progression
Once you have completed the course you will have the skills to look for
work in the construction and security sectors.
Entry requirements
To attend this course you must:
• Be aged 19 and over
• Be legally allowed to work in the UK
• Have lived in the UK for the last three years
• Be claiming work-related benefits such as Jobseeker’s Allowance or
Housing Benefit
• Pass a short assessment for English and Maths
