Alison Arnaud

Alison has over 30 years of experience in education and has been with the College group since 2015. She has extensive knowledge of the further education sector and has also worked in schools, private training providers and universities. She joined Tower Hamlets College, from LSEC, working in various curriculum areas and eventually co-leading the Quality team.

Alison became Principal at Tower Hamlets in August 2016 and added Hackney to her responsibilities in January of 2019. Within the Group she has responsibility for a significant range of curriculum areas.

Alison has undertaken the Strategic Leadership Programme for Principals and CEOs at the Said School of Business, University of Oxford.

Jorge Castillo-Rodriguez

Jorge has over 26 years’ experience in education and has been with the New City College group since moving to the UK 14 years ago. He started teaching in Columbia in 1994 and continued his career at our Redbridge campus in 2007, teaching Mathematics and IT. He later progressed to his Deputy Principal role at Tower Hamlets.

He is a qualified Mathematics teacher with a degree in Computing System Engineering and experience in Applied Science. He also attended the 'Preparing for CEO Programme' at Said Business, Oxford University.

Jorge is an extremely passionate educator who has taught in both primary and secondary schools as well as at sixth form and further education colleges throughout his career. His many varied roles include Senior Curriculum Manager, Head of Faculty, Group Curriculum Director and now Deputy Principal. These have given him an extensive range of experience in educational management.
