Course information

This course is designed for young people with a range of learning difficulties. The aim of this course is to promote independence, develop social skills and engage young people to be active citizens integrated within their community.

Learners will work on many skills including: communication, reading and writing, mathematics, independent living, skills for the workplace, engaging with the world around them and developing relationships.

This course will provide students with the opportunity to gain an Entry 1 qualification which focuses on social and life skills which are essential for living and working in the community.

Students participate in enterprise activities and undertake work placements / experience, with support if required.

    Assessment is ongoing through the academic year and paced at the learner level.
