Huge congratulations to Travel & Tourism student Albina, who achieved Distinction* Distinction* Distinction and progressed to the University of Westminster to study for a Digital Marketing degree.

Albina says she really enjoyed her course at Havering Sixth Form and the teachers were “amazing”.

She said: “I did work hard to get these grades but my teachers were also a great help to me. I would research the topics we were doing and they would give me extra work and tasks to make sure I was able to get the top grades.

“I was also able to do two separate periods of work experience – at a day nursery and at a restaurant – which boosted my confidence and gave me a taste of working life. The staff in the careers department were very supportive and helped with this.

“I also enjoyed all the trips that we took on the Travel & Tourism course which has made me realise that I want to carry on travelling and seeing the world!”

Albina says her family are very proud of what she has achieved and added: “I am proud of myself actually and I am now looking forward to seeing where my degree will lead to and where it will take me.

“I would also like to say a very big thank you to my teachers and the college for the opportunities I was given. I want to help other students see that they can also be successful, get great results and really enjoy college life at Havering Sixth Form.”
