Jason Frost

Jason is a Conservative Councillor on the London Borough of Havering, representing the people of Mawneys Ward.

Formerly a pupil at Marshalls Park School, Jason attended Havering Sixth Form from 2005 to 2007 and achieved grade As and Bs in Government & Politics, History, Classics and General Studies.

He then went on to study at Queen Mary University for a BA and Masters in History and is currently doing a PhD in History, part-time, at the University of Westminster.

After leaving Queen Mary, as well as internships in politics, Jason worked as a Researcher at The Constitutional Monarchy Association and then as a Research Assistant at Aspenchase Enterprises, supporting the work of The Hon. W Denis Walker.

He has been a Havering Councillor since being elected in 2014 and was given the role of Lead Member for Public Health & Adult Social Care in May 2018, responsible for setting policy direction and for safeguarding. He is also the Chair of the Havering Health and Wellbeing Board.

Jason said he still visits the sixth form when he can and wants to encourage young people to get involved in politics.

He said: “When I was a student I found the college a great place to learn. I benefited from many different experiences and found the diversity of people gave me an insight into different opinions and cultures.”

Jason is hoping to continue his career aims in academia or politics.
