Age 16-18
Masooma Ali has secured a place to study Medicine at Plymouth University and eventually hopes to become a cardiothoracic surgeon after completing her degree. She achieved an A* in Graphic Design, and two As in Chemistry and Biology. Masooma was part of the upper sixth Medics Enrichment group while at the Sixth Form and during her second year, completed a four-day work placement at Barts Hospital with heart surgeon Mr Kulvinder Lall, who is one of the youngest and most respected cardiac surgeons in the UK.
