Sofia Zuhra has secured a fantastic apprenticeship with Ernst & Young (EY) after being successful on the Level 3 Business course run at New City College.
After realising that A Levels weren’t for her, Sofia decided to join NCC for a change in direction. She began to study towards her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business and absolutely loved it!
She said: “I have had the best two years of my life. I have made teacher relationships that I’ll value forever, as well as great student friendships.”
In October 2020, Sofia started applying for apprenticeships with EY, Bloomberg and JP Morgan – and was offered places for all three! She opted for the EY Apprenticeship where she will study towards her ACA and a Level 7 (equivalent to a Masters) qualification in Accountancy and Taxation.
Sofia said: “NCC has provided me with the skills and confidence needed for the next part of my career. I’ve been supported greatly throughout my time here at the Hackney campus and I have been provided with plenty of opportunities.”
