The Personal Training Academy gives you the opportunity to develop and progress from student to paid employee, not only within our existing facilities but the wider fitness industry. This is a unique pathway, allowing you to gain real-world experience within our sports centre, in a completely controlled atmosphere. You will work in the commercial gym with existing New City Fitness staff as a gym instructor or personal trainer to our commercial clients. You will also get the chance to organise, plan, and undertake your own commercial group exercise classes in a controlled atmosphere. The level of support and responsibility your are given will be in line with your experience; and will be tailored to meet your needs as your skills and confidence develop.
New City Fitness Academy will give you the best possible start and the fastest route to employment within the fitness industry. Gym Managers up and down the country are always looking for experienced and qualified staff, which often means new students are overlooked due to a lack of experience. Gaining that first job can be difficult, especially in such a crowded marketplace, and that is why the New City Fitness Academy has been created. You will leave the college with not only a qualification but actual work experience in group exercise and gym instructing, giving you a massive advantage over other newly qualified instructors and personal trainers.
