Course Overview

Entry requirements

  • 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 including English and maths.
  • Level 2 BTEC Diploma at Merit or Distinction.

You will also be required to undergo an Enhanced  DBS check as there is a mandatory placement throughout the year in a suitable health and social care setting. Applicants must have a good reference, interview, assessment and communication skills. Your commitment and interest in this subject will also be assessed during the interview process

The course consists of 13 units of which 4 units are externally assessed (2 exams in year 1 and 2 exams in year 2). This qualification is equivalent to 3 x A Levels.
