Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 including English and maths.
Level 2 BTEC Diploma at Merit or Distinction.

You will also be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as there is a mandatory placement throughout the year in a suitable health and social care setting. Applicants must have a good reference, interview, assessment and communication skills. Your commitment and interest in this subject will also be assessed during the interview process

working in health and social care
anatomy and physiology for health and social care
enquires into current research in health and social care
work experience in health and social care
promoting public health

The course consists of 13 units of which 4 units are externally assessed (2 exams in year 1 and 2 exams in year 2). This qualification is equivalent to 3 x A Levels.
