Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, you will need to have a short interview with the tutor. An understanding of engineering / technical drawing would also be helpful.

The course is delivered over one evening each week for 35 weeks and is intended as an introduction to CAD.

The software you will use is Auto CAD, you will learn to use all the commands needed to produce complex drawings and to plot (print) your drawings; at level 2 you will be working in model/drawing space.

  • Assessment Criteria

    The assessment for this course comprises of three drawings externally set by City and Guilds and internally marked by the college assessor then externally verified by City and Guilds. When this practical work is complete there is a short answer question paper.
