Entry requirements

You will be expected to have reasonable levels of literacy, numeracy and IT. You will also have a college interview and assessment.


This course provides you with an introduction to accounting and is suitable for individuals who have little or no experience in accounting and are looking to understand how to keep records and do basic bookkeeping. This practical course focuses on fundamental finance and accounting skills whilst developing your professional business skills.

    There are series of exams you must sit in order to pass the course.

    Units include:
    • Introduction to bookkeeping skills
    • financial transactions
    • supplier transactions
    • reciepts and processes

Further Information

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to progress onto the AAT Level 1 Award Bookkeeping
