Five or more GCSEs at grades 9-4 including English and Maths
Where there are specific subjects required at GCSE we can discuss your grades with you when you come to enrol

Information

T-Levels are new Technical courses - which are equivalent to three A Levels. T-Levels - combine classroom theory, practical learning and industry placement of at least 45 days with an employer, to make sure you have a real experience of the workplace.

They provide the knowledge and experience needed for skilled employment, higher education and apprenticeships. You will spend 3 days per week in college and will be taught the theory elements of the course. 2 days a week in Industry placement to learn practical skills and demonstrate competencies needed to work with children.

Employer-Set Project (ESP)

Grading: A* - E and Ungraded (U)

Year 2:

Occupational specialism: Early Years Educator

Content:

Support and promote children's play, development and early education.
Develop relationships with children to facilitate their development.
Plan, provide and review care, play and educational opportunities to enable children to progress.
Safeguard and promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children.
Work in partnership with colleagues, parents, carers and other professionals to support children's development.

Assessment:

3 Synoptic assignments

Grading: Distinction, Merit, Pass and Ungraded (U)

Industry Placement: Take places during year 1 and 2

You will attend a weekly industry placement in external education and childcare provider throughout your course.

Through this placement you will have the opportunity to apply knowledge learnt in the classroom to real-life situations and develop key technical skills. Across the 2 years course, you will complete a minimum of 750 hours.
